The Indian credit card space is always lively, with Axis frequently offering some drama. Last evening was no exception. Axis sent out mass emails to Atlas Credit Card holders. They asked cardholders to provide more details about certain expenses in the "Travel Category" because they suspected these to be "non-personal" spending.
There is rumour on Atlas deval, I have recently taken the card and it’s delivered yesterday. Should I activate or skip it ? Any rumour on details of devaluation ?
I typically refrain from talking about rumours. But as long as their is juice, milk it. When the devaluation happens, we shall look into it. I'd definitely activate and use the card if I were you.
Accor has a decent footprint across India in both the luxury and budget segments, and United can be used for some domestic flights. However, if you intended use case is primarily to redeem miles for domestic usage, I would recommend Air Canada/Aeroplan and/or Vistara.
I got the email. Now are spends made for parents will be accepted ? What checks will be made ? I have 0 EM right now, what will be consequences if I am wrong in Axis eyes?
I have booked tickets for my colleques also, how can I be able to justify this, I have my colleques company ID’s, I can be able to provide that
Just submit the invoices or the tickets, you should be fine.
Are these large amounts?
Some tickets are large amounts but they transferred the same amount from their bank account to my account, we all went for a trip together
I think submitting the invoice or ticket should be fine.

Is it really the best way to transfer miles to Accor or United ?
Do they have good conversion to programs to be used in India ?
